Our Mission
The Raft Review is a literary magazine dedicated to empowering non-native English writers from ages 14-19.

Writing in a foreign language is like floating on a raft in the boundless ocean. We might sail in the wrong direction, face towards storms and tides, or disconnect with those we care about. But that said, writing is the endless journey of gain, loss, and understanding. We believe that, eventually, we will find the lighthouse within the lines of our poems, the depictions in our prose, and the connections we've made with the community.

We genuinely understand the hardship of writing in a language we are not yet familiar with. Sometimes our voice gets drowned, swallowed, or silenced. This literary magazine aims to amplify our voices, let our stories be heard, and provide a peer review platform that sparks inspiration and fosters friendships.

May you find your voice on your way.
